Copper is an essential element for human nutrition. The mineral is critical for blood cell formation and is found in many foods and most water supplies. A balanced diet requires a recommended daily intake of about 1 mg of copper.
Only very low level of copper (50-120 milligram) is typically found inside the body. Probably, such tiny quantity of copper would fit the head of the pin. Being a vital element for our body, we generally take copper from external sources.
Because of this reason, we have a long-established tradition of using copper bottles and other copperware items in our lifestyle. As copper has purifying nature, it cleanses water stored in the copper bottle, destroying microbes that causes waterborne disease such as diarrhea, dysentery and jaundice.Copper has the properties to kill the harmful bacteria and is considered a great remedy for ulcers, indigestion and infections.
Three Doshas present inside the body– Vata, Kapha and Pitta – as mentioned in Ayurveda remain in balance with copper.
Copper has also other medicinal benefits like anti-aging property, maintains good heart, improves digestion system, prevents Thyroid problem, and anti-cancer property among others.
Our products are made of 99.7% pure high gradecopper. We do not use any heavy metals or aluminium in the production process. This makes our bottles, glasses, jugs and carafes at least 45% lighter than glass bottles, glasses, jugs or carafes and also offers vitality benefits of copper. More-over, our copper bottles, glasses, jugs and carafes are free from the harmful toxins released by plastic bottles! Besides, each piece is handcrafted by our artisans using traditional techniques.
In the age of fast fashion and plastic life, we should be able to stay grounded to sustainable choices without compromise. Not only are our copperware a graceful replacement for plastic bottles and glasses, but also good for your health and our planet. If well handled, they can be passed on to the next generation and can retain its positive qualities even after centuries of use, keeping Ayurveda benefits intact.
Copper is one of the few materials that can be recycled repeatedly without any loss of performance. There is also no difference in the quality of recycled copper (secondary production) and mined copper (primary production), thus they can be used interchangeably.
As concerns over our environmental impact has increased, home builders and reas estate owners have begun using copper more and more frequently in a effort to reduce caron footprint. Compared to traditional building materials such as wood and synthetic roof tiles, copper has many environmental advantages that make it a superior choice for home construction.
Copper has been used by humans since ancient times, especially in the treatment of infections and prevention of diseases. In the nineteenth century, after the discovery of the relationships between pathogens and diseases, scientists paid great attention to copper’s antibacterial properties.

Once you buy the copper products, a common problem which all of us face is to find the correct way to cleanse the items and maintain the same original brightness of the products.
The copper household items get oxidized owing to its chemical nature and begin to lose the original shine and develop dark patches over a period of time. Many people like this graceful, ancient appearance. However, if you would rather have the copper shine, simply follow our recommended cleaning tips.
Here are some homemade remedies for your copper items. Copper is anti-bacterial and has self-sterilizing properties, so there is no need to wash it every day. We recommend you clean your bottle using our instructions about once a week.
Lemon and Salt Method:
This is the most traditional and easiest method of cleaning copper vessels. These two ingredients are easily available in any kitchen.
Simply take some salt in a bowl, cut a lemon in half and dip it into salt. Rub this lemon over the copper vessel. While doing this, gently squeeze the lemon so that lemon juice will mix with salt. Here, the salt will also act as a scrubber. Repeat this process until you cover the copper vessel completely. Once you are done you can clean it with your regular dishwasher and wash it thoroughly.
How to Clean Inside of Copper Bottle With Lemon and Salt:
To clean a copper bottle from the inside, just squeeze half a lemon into the bottle, and add 1 tablespoon of salt and 1/2 a cup of water in it. Close the lid and shake the mixture thoroughly just like you shake your protein shake! Pour this mixture out and rinse the bottle with water. You will be amazed to see how your copper bottle is shining from inside too! To clean a copper bottle from the outside follow the instructions mentioned above.
Vinegar And Salt Method:
If lemons are not available to you, you can use vinegar instead. Mix 1 tablespoon salt with 2 tablespoons of vinegar. Let the salt dissolve and apply this mixture over the copper vessel with the help of a cotton ball or a cotton cloth and rub the vessel with it until stains are gone. Wash thoroughly with water. Make sure to dry these vessels completely with a cotton cloth to avoid stains building up by water again.
How to Clean Inside of Copper Bottle With Vinegar and Salt?
To clean copper bottle from the inside, add 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 cup of water in it. Close the lid and shake the mixture thoroughly. Pour this mixture out and rise the bottle with fresh water. That’s it, your copper bottle should look as good as new!
Baking Soda Method:
Baking soda is also a very good option for cleaning copper vessels. Instead of salt, you can use baking soda with lemon or vinegar and follow the same techniques mentioned in the above methods.
We recommend cleaning your new copper products thoroughly before their first use. Simply rinse the bottles, glasses, Jugs and carafes with warm water and mild soap or salt water from inside.
We do not recommend you to clean your copper products in the dishwasher. The outer lacquer may rub off, taking away the classic copper shine. The outer lacquer protects the bottle and carafe from discolouring and oxidation.
Copper pots or vessels should not be stored in fridge. The best way is to keep the copper stored water at room temperature.
Because copper can react with acidic liquids (anything with a pH of less than 7), we recommend only using water in your copper water bottle.
We do not recommend pouring hot water or other liquids in your copper bottle as the copper may react to the heat and the acidity of those ingredients. We recommend still water that is at room temperature.
