Description
Kansa Body Wand / Massager – (Large)
In Ayurveda, there is no massage tool more sacred or celebrated than the Kansa Wand. While it has been the desired device for thousands of years in the East , its benefits and use is still a novel concept in the West. The word “Kansa”, derived from Sanksrit—the indigenous language of ancient India—is a mixture of copper and aluminum, and is often referred to as the “bell metal”, citing that Tibetan gongs and bells were often made out of the same material.
This traditional massage tool has been used in Ayurveda for thousands of years. It has a wooden handle and a dome-shape tip made from kansa metal, which is a mix of copper, tin, and sometimes zinc.
Benefits of using a Kansa Wand:
In the Ayurvedic tradition, there is a big focus on Marma points – these roughly correspond to acupressure points and are usually positioned over our lymph nodes. Massaging these points is an important aspect of Ayurvedic healing and is believed to release energy that has become stuck or stagnant. So, in Ayurveda the kansa wand has a healing purpose because it can be used to activate the Marma points.
The Kansa Wand can improve circulation, boost collagen, contour the face, and relieve tissue adhesions that contribute to wrinkling or sagging skin.

How to use Kansa Body Wand:
Deeply moisturise your body by applying a few drops of natural massage oil to your body for the Kansa Wand to slide gently. Gently massage with the Kansa Wand in a clockwise direction and then anti-clockwise direction on the body portion where you have applied oil. Ensure the pressure is light and firm as you start massaging, slowly it will show the greying effect which shows your skin is getting detoxified. Concentrate the movements around the marma points to release muscle tension. Continue to massage your body front and back firmly for 15-20 Minutes.
How to clean Kansa Wand:
When using for the first time, we recommend gently cleaning the metal part of the wand with a clean, chemical-free soap. Towel dry. Do this after each treatment to keep the wand sanitized for the next use.
Made of wood and metal, there are no attachments, no batteries, or anything needed other than the tool itself.
