Description
Kansa Wand / Massager
In Ayurveda, there is no facial tool more sacred or celebrated than theย Kansa Wand. While it has been the desired device for thousands of years in the East , its benefits and use is still a novel concept in the West. The word โKansaโ, derived from Sanksirtโthe indigenous language of ancient Indiaโis a mixture of copper and aluminum, and is often referred to as the โbell metalโ, citing that Tibetan gongs and bells were often made out of the same material.
This traditional facial massage tool has been used in Ayurveda for thousands of years. It has a wooden handle and a dome-shape tip made from kansa metal, which is a mix of copper, tin, and sometimes zinc.
Benefits of using a Kansa Wand:
In the Ayurvedic tradition, there is a big focus on Marma points โ these roughly correspond to acupressure points and are usually positioned over our lymph nodes. Massaging these points is an important aspect of Ayurvedic healing and is believed to release energy that has become stuck or stagnant. So, in Ayurveda the kansa wand has a healing purpose because it can be used to activate the Marma points.ย This soothing massage tool has plenty of uses to lift our faces and leave us with naturally glowing skin, detoxify our skin and pull toxins.

Work your way upwards and start at the corner of your mouth and follow the natural lines of your cheekbones, massaging upwards to the center of your ear. Repeat on both sides. End your treatment by making circular and figure eight motions around the temples of your eyes, forehead and above the eyebrows.
